Bishop John Galuak Translated to Amiel Diocese

Bishop John Galuak received into Duk-Padiet Diocese

As the world continue to observe and mitigate the risk of Corona Virus, the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ continue in different ways, adapting to the world situation but also continuing to bring the Gospel closer to the people in different location.
As we begin the season, the first Sunday of Trinity has brought joy and celebration to the Anglican Church of South Sudan as our Primate His Grace, Most Rev. John Machar Thon and the conclave of Archbishops received Bishop John Galuak Deu into the Anglican rites from the Worldwide Anglican Church.
The administration has decided after receiving the bishop to unilaterally elevate the Area of Amiel in Duk Padiet into a full diocese with Rt. Rev. Abraham Galuak Majok as the diocesan Bishop and Rt. Rev. John Galuak Deu as the diocesan Bishop of Duk Padiet Diocese effective 7th June 2020.
Bishop John Galuak Deu is a very humble and God fearing leader, whose shepherding will be rewarding greatly in the ministry as he takes up his new diocesan role in the Central Province, Diocese of Duk-Padiet. Working closely with his brother in Christ, Bishop Abraham Galuak Majok in the diocese of Amiel will be a blessing to churches in the Greater Duk of Central Province.
Welcome to the Anglican Church of South Sudan, and to Central Province, Diocese of Duk-Padiet in particular. Your sheep loves and welcome you wholeheartedly, Bishop John.
