During the year, the Anglican Diocese of Kongor located in Jonglei State South Sudan elected their second bishop Rev. Richard Deng to succeed The late Rt. Rev. Daniel Dau Deng, first bishop and founder of Kongor Diocese in South Sudan. Our late father in Christ Bishop Daniel Dau has done numerous things that he can be accounted for including founding the current Kongor Diocese, working on the mission and evangelism across Jonglei, Equatoria and refugee camps including in northern Sudan. Richard Deng, a man of peace, unity, and well known for his zeal for Christ mission and evangelism. He has serve as pastor since ordination in 1999.
