ANGLICAN DIOCESE OF KONGOR ELECTED NEW BISHOP
On the 11th January 2018, the Archbishop of the Anglican Church approved the two new Bishops elected in their different Dioceses. The Anglican Diocese of Konger elected the most loving,
hardworking and caring priest Rev.Richard Deng Dau to be the 2nd Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Konger.
Pastor Richard served the Church since his ordination in 1999 being instrumental in preaching,guiding, outreach missions,developmental activities as well as partners coordination and linkages.
Pastor Richard has been trusted by the diocese congregations to lead them with his knowledge and experience and hard work as the diocesan head in accordance with the church doctrines,traditions and custom. Pastor Richard was born on 27th July 1970 and ordained as priest on 30 May,1999.
He holds two Bachelors of Theology with couples of Diplomas in Mission,Ministry and Bible Courses.
This is in remembrance of our late Father in Christ Rt. Rev Daniel Dau Deng, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Konger who left us on the 9th November 2016 in Adjumani,Uganda.
Bishop Daniel has been instrumental duringthe reformation time when the Anglican Church was formed through the breakaway from the Episcopal Church of Sudan due to issues that are related to acceptingof the gay bishops and coordination with them in that church.
Bishop Daniel duringhis pastoral days has been instrumental in plantingchurches, spreadingthe word of God, baptizingmany as well preaching in all the corners of South Sudan and refugee camps where South Sudanese were. His legacy remain in us as we continuethe word of God in our modern era. Bishop Daniel Shall always be remembered as a lovingand caringfather in Christ who by his hard work,we have conquer the devilworshiping in areas of Jonglei and other areas.
He was consecrated as Bishop on 12th April,2004 duringthe reformation time as the First diocesan bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Kongor. He continueto be remembered as the Founding Father of Kongor Diocese.
