Welcome Message By our Bishop
Grace and peace greetings from the Anglican Diocese of Akot in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Amen. As the bishop of the Diocese of Akot, I am privileged and honored through our Lord Jesus Christ to invite all believers and non-believers alike into the loving follower-ship and blessed households of our Lord, Jesus.
In Akot Diocese, we worship and praise the name of our Lord every Lord’s day (Sunday) in all our parishes under various archdeaconeries in the region of Bhar-Naam county (formerly Rumbek East region) of Western Lakes State. God has been gracious to us in our diocese, he has given us a lot of blessings and gifts of mission and church development despite a lack of resources. We work hard to glorify the name of the most High God, praising his loving-kindness in every church, welcoming everyone to join us in prayer, spiritual formation and worship of our Lord.
In Akot diocese, we strive to teach the true unchanging gospel of our Lord Jesus without any alteration or additional motives but dwelling in the biblical truth believing that, the bible contains all things necessary for salvation and is the word of God that lives in us. We reject and condemn anything un-biblical such as homosexuality, lesbianism, gay or any other sort of heresy that works to destroy the true Gospel and holy living of the followers of our Lord Jesus.
I therefore call upon all the people to come and worship with us to experience the love and glory of God. Also, you can partner with our diocese in furthering the kingdom of our Lord through preaching, teaching, training, agricultural programs, community development initiatives or in any possible mean provided that, we provide care and support to the community, the beloved people of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May the Almighty Father pour his blessings upon you in all your endeavors.
Blessings
Most. Rev. John Machuei Ater
