Mission report
We would like to thank our partners for their generous donations that allowed our mission to continue its work in Adjumani, northern Uganda. We want to keep you informed of the work being done and this report also includes a proposal for what we would like to do to help the refugees in the next 6-months.
The end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017 marks the busy season for refugee outreach that covers Alere, Ayilo I, Ayilo II, Olua I, Olua II, Nyamazi I, Nyamazi II and Dzaipi. We were blessed to have many volunteers come to serve this fall-Winter, Six Churches have been planted so far. These teams devoted themselves and served at the refugee camps, encouraged the South Sudanese congregations, and spread the light of Gospel.
Rebuilding self-reliance in Nyumazi refugee camp: Proposed site for Agricultural activities
The big upcoming event for the farming calendar had been widely expected, the 2017 ploughing playoffs. The farmers sector in refugee camps is underdeveloped and in desperate need of rehabilitation. A South Sudan refugee relies heavily on neighboring countries for certified seed, which is costly, and farmers rely on the informal seed sector.
Sharing the Gospel under the tree in OLUA II, these new converts completed commitment basic training that will help them after the evangelism. We partnered with local churches and pastors from across denominational lines and ministered closely with local organizing teams. We thank the Lord for allowing us to uplift the name which is above every name, the name of Jesus Christ.
Please join us in praying for the spiritual growth of all those that received Christ as their Savior. Also pray that the Lord will bring forth spiritual fruit from the many seeds that were sown in the lives of thousands of lost souls. Thank you for partnering with us to take the gospel to the uttermost.
