ANGLICAN DIOCESE OF R UMBEK E LECTED N EW BISHOP
On the 11th January 2018, the Archbishop of the Anglican Church approved the two new Bishops elected in their different Dioceses. Anglican Diocese of Rumbek elected a God loving and hardworking
young priest Rev.Jacob Ngor Benjamin Bol. Rev Ngor has been instrumental since the creation of the diocese and continues to do his work as a pastor,that made him to be trusted by the whole diocese and Province of Anglican,he is currently the Provincial Treasurer appointed in 2015 by the house of bishops. Pastor Jacob happens to be most loyal and teachable persons and with the trust from the whole diocese, he will do well in his new role as the diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Rumbek.
Pastor Jacob is a diploma Holder born on 1st January
1987 and ordain into priesthood on 15th December 2013. He will be the first young bishop consecrated in Anglican Church ever.
This is done in remembrance of our late Father in Christ Rt. Rev Moses Ater Pagarau, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Rumbek who left us on 15th September 2014 in Juba, South Sudan.
Bishop has been instrumenta lduring the reformation time when the Anglican Church was formed through the breakaway from the Episcopal Church of Sudan due to issues that are related to accepting of the gay bishops and coordination with them in that church.
He is one of the spiritua l leaders that will a lways be remembered in the history of Anglican Church and being the first bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Rumbek.
